Thank you for giving me my dachshund fix. I'm 64 and have had Dachshunds all my life..l had my first age 2.. a boy called appropriately Fritz.. unfortunately, due to mobility issues, l can not walk a dog now, so I have to get my daxie fix watching videos of this wonderful breed..super intelligent..very trainable..but you have to persevere as they have a mind of their own..! They love a good walk/run and if left alone without using up that energy they can get destructive..its important to remember these were initially working dogs..in German dachshund means Badgerhound as they were sent down the sett to flush them out..thankfully that is illigal now!.. 🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👏👍🐾🐕

Thank you so much for sharing this! It was so relaxing and fun just to watch all these tons of Dachshunds that you have! Unbelievable! And fun! My husband used to raise dachshunds before I met him and when I met him he had two and so we've always had like two and maybe another kind of dog. Now we have one that is 15 and 1/2. So much fun! Thank you God for making dachshunds!!😊❤

I was in absolute heaven watching this.. l have had Dachshunds all my life. My first one..Fritz when l was 2 yrs old..🐾🐾. I am now 64 !! So you can imagine how many..not always on their own..sometimes in twosomes😂.. I've also had a few mini poodles, and 🐈 🐈‍⬛️cats, too🐾🐾.. they all got along together.. but then sometimes the cats were bigger than the dogs..😂 unfortunately, due to my poor mobility l no longer have a dog..l can't walk it ..and all dogs no matter what size needs activity from walks..yes l could play ball etc but it's not the same..people make the mistake in thinking Dachshunds don't need excercise due to their short legs..thats rubbish..Dachshunds are hounds..working dogs..and they get bored very easily which can lead to bad behaviour and become destructive .. they need play stimulation too..they are a very intelligent breed..Dachshund in German means Badgerhound as they were sent down the badger sett to flush them out..thank goodness that is now banned over here 🇬🇧 anyway . So thank you for making me smile and remember all my lovely Daxies..🇬🇧💕✝️🙏🐾🐕🐾👍👏

I have 2 Standard size work farm hounds, Stosh, and Olaf as well as Amini Captain, and an 8 lb. female boss Frau Hilda, I have a Chocolate Lab Burbank, and A Bull Mastiif Chomps. All great farm dogs. The best ratters in the business. The Lab and the Bull Mastiff are great livestock dogs. but Stosh the oldest is the boss off the operation. God gave us dogs thank goodness. Dachshunds are great farm work dogs. Miss you Stosh old friend.

I'm 64, and I've had Dachshunds all my life..had my first when l was 2 yrs old..Fritz was his name.. obviously why😂.. so I've had lots of lil daxies..a lot of people say about their back issues but none of mine had any problems..obviously you need to be careful ..giving them ladders ir steps rather than making them jump..but it more common sense than anything.. they're fiercely loyal. Full of life and extremely funny characters..the one herding sheep 🐑 worked because they are a hound..a working dog initially..Dachshund means Badgerhound in German where they were used to send into the badgers sett to flush them out..that is obviously not allowed now..but don't be thinking because they have short legs they don't need excercise..they definitely need excercise and stimulation..leaving them in the house with nothing to do with just excess energy can lead to them becoming destructive..unfortunately as my mobility issues are so bad l can no longer have a dog as just couldn't walk it..thats no life for any dog..l miss them so much..always had dogs and cats together and its never been a problem they always got on with each other..lost my last cat to heart disease last Sept..its very quiet without a pet..the first time since my late 20's that I've not had any pets..although l do have a lodger !.. a cat that comes in to eat and sleep mainly from Monday to Friday sometimes at weekends because he is put out when they go to work in the morning until they get home from work .which means he has no access to food water or shelter no matter what the weather..l have a catflap hence he comes to me..we all know cats are grazers..they don't eat at set mealtimes like dogs do..so he has put on weight..for the size of him ge was quite skinny..his owners must realise he is eating elsewhere but obviously just not bothered..l don't know who his owners are..l don't think they are very hands on with him either as he is pretty shy even after coming in for over a yr now..
